Devotional: Stay a Student of His Word
"continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from who you have learned them, and how from childhood you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation...
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15
It is wrong for me NOT to put time in learning about God and His Word. The Bible is an absolute necessity for living. The passage says it is thru the Scriptures that I will be complete and enabled for doing good. This also means that if I am learning Scriptures properly, there will be completeness and there will be fruits of good work. If these are not happening, either I am not studying or I am not receiving God's Word as intended.
I pray for strength and desire to be a continual student of God's Word.
