Stop Guessing, Let God Teach You - Psalm 27:11

Let God Teach You How to Do Life As we begin to comprehend and trust God's all-eoncompassing wisdom, foresight, and plans, we WILL sensibly desire His teaching and leadership over our lives. The human brain is capable of progressive learning. Our brains are continually learning and unlearning things everyday. In this age of widespread information and resource, our minds take in a lot of things day in and day out. We pick up new things, and, in the process, we may let go of some other things. We exchange one principle for another. We replace wrong notions with correct ones (hopefully). And so our brain is truly amazing in that we always have potential to become more knowledgeable, accurate, mature, discerning, understanding, and broad-minded with each passing moment. There is the danger of picking up the wrong things and replacing right principles with wrong ones. We see this happen all the time. People, God's People" letting go of their standards, convictions, and princi...

Struggling Christian, I Feel You

Lord, I’m not afraid of Your refining fire. It’s what I need. I’m scared. I’m ashamed. But I desire it. I’m so tired , Lord—feeling You far away, fearing I’m displeasing You every day, worried and convinced there are things unsettled, matters that need to be resolved. I bring everything to You. I bring myself. Not proud—bare and open. Your will, not mine, Lord. Burn all that hinders, deters, distracts, destroys, defiles. Consume them, Lord, if that’s what will bring me closer to You. I’m a no one, a nothing. Before You, I will reclaim who I am and be able to reach who I need to be. Father, I only ask You to be with me—to show Yourself, to accept me once more, to lend me Your fellowship and friendship. Years of living on this earth have taught me nothing, brought me nothing. I’ve only found more things that draw my heart and mind far from You. I’m tired, Lord. Exhausted. Frustrated. I need You. I have always needed You. I never lost sight of that. But it’s been difficult to have a sing...

Unsure but Secure - Reflect on Job 12:10

Job 12:10 — “In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all the human race.”  We live in a time when there’s just too much going on. The influx of materials, messages, and resources is so massive that there’s little time to process all that we’re taking in. As if managing our own lives is not preoccupying enough, technology constantly exposes us to what’s happening in other people’s lives and around the world. We are like a ball rolling endlessly, with no chance to pause, reflect, or assess. Things cling to us along the way, and we rarely stop to evaluate what we should keep and what we should shake off.  There’s an endless stream of activity and constant noise. Meditation and reflection have become lost arts. We can hardly sit still and focus on one thing with full attention.  Concentration is fragile. We can’t stay present with what we’re watching or reading. We can’t fully listen to the person in front of us. Our minds are fragmented, our hearts distr...

Trust the Immutable God - He Never Changes

God Is Immutable One of the most comforting truths about God is that He is immutable—He does not change. “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6). In a world where everything is constantly shifting—trends, opinions, emotions, and even relationships—God’s unchanging nature stands as a rock of stability and security.  What It Means That God Is Immutable To say God is immutable means His character, nature, will, and promises never change. He is not subject to time or influenced by circumstances. God does not grow, develop, or improve because He is already perfect. His love is constant, His justice unwavering, His mercy steadfast. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). This doesn’t mean God is static or lifeless. Rather, His actions are always consistent with His nature.  He may act differently in different situations, but always in harmony with His perfect character.  For example, ...

A Joyful Heart Is How You Heal - Reflection on Proverbs 17:22

Scripture: “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22  We often underestimate how much our mindset affects our health. But long before science caught up, God’s Word already revealed a truth: joy heals. A cheerful heart doesn’t just make you feel good—it can literally help your body heal and thrive. Science Agrees with Scripture Studies confirm what Proverbs has long declared. Harvard Health notes that positive emotions can strengthen your immune system and reduce stress hormones. Mayo Clinic research shows laughter lowers blood pressure, improves oxygen intake, and releases endorphins—your body’s natural painkillers.  A study in Psychosomatic Medicine found that joyful people have a lower risk of heart disease and live longer. When you choose joy, you’re not ignoring life’s challenges—you’re building resilience. Your heart becomes medicine, not just for your spirit, but for your body too. Why Joy Is Spiritual Medicine ...

The Pursuit of Happiness

Everyone wants a happy life. No one wants sadness. To be a Christian and remain unhappy for most of your life is tragic. The Lord Jesus, several times, stated that His desire is for our joy to be made complete in Him. And happiness finds steadiness in joy. Scriptures talk about the blessed life, the happy life. Happiness is available to us. We have the choice to pursue and live it. It is a way of life—a life that is lived in a right relationship with God. And if you live it life this way, you’ll find lasting joy in Christ. Psalm 1 straightforwardly and simply lays the right path in pursuit of happiness . Let’s look and see all the practical insights the psalmist provides us with regarding being happy in life. Don’t Overvalue the Advice of the Ungodly The child of God should not let the world’s voice hold stronger ground than God’s voice. This is a pitfall that many believers fall into today. So many look to “professionals” and celebrities for advice, therapy, financial planning, goal-s...

Life Is Short: Enjoy Today and Be Prepared for Forever

Charlie Kirk was a kindred spirit to some, and not to others. Ultimately, no one should ever suffer violence for expressing their opinions. For Christians who hold to the same faith Charlie did, we can take comfort in the promise that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). His passing reminds us that life is fragile, eternity is real, and the most important question we each face is this: What will you do with Jesus? Hope Beyond This Life For every believer, there is joy in heaven when a soul enters eternity: “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10). Because of Christ, we can hope beyond this life. Scripture says: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable” (1 Corinthians 15:19). But we also rejoice because “through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:2). Our future is cert...

Stay Away from Modern-Day Pharisees

There is a tendency to become like the people you surround yourself with. As a Christian—a child of God who desires to live and think the way He wants—being around modern-day Pharisees is unhealthy for your spiritual growth. So, what is a Pharisee in today’s context? Let’s break this down so you can identify one and stay away from them. Even better, my hope for this article is that it will help us recognize any Pharisaical attitudes in our own lives and encourage us to stop living and thinking that way. In modern Christianity, “Pharisees” is a metaphor for people or groups who, while appearing devout or religious, often miss the heart of the Gospel. The original Pharisees in the Bible were a Jewish sect known for strict adherence to the law and traditions, but Jesus rebuked them for their hypocrisy, pride, and lack of mercy (Matthew 23). Here’s how this concept translates today: Legalism and Lack of Grace Modern-day Pharisees often focus on rigid rules, rituals, or appearances. ...
