Devotional: Tell-Tales

Passage: Psalm 78:1-10

"We will tell the next generation about the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, about HIS strength and the amazing things HE HAS DONE.So that children yet to be born, might know about them.Then they will place their confidence IN GOD."

One of the wisest things parents can do is to be as they are, with their children. Our children must see that we do not know the answers all the time, that we can't be strong all the time, that we can't be all they need for us to be all the time. In all these limitations and failings, our children must sense that it will always be God pulling the whole family through life's changes and challenges. And whatever accomplishments I may be admired for, I must always be testifying to my children that it is all in His strength and wisdom that I amount to anything at all.

Today I pray that I may be able to raise my children placing their faith and utmost confidence in our God.
