Devotional: Death...and Life

If Christ has not been raised, then your faith is empty...useless. For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. “The first man, Adam, became a living person”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

By rising from the dead, Christ confirms within our hears that while surrounded by death and the limitations of time, there is a reality that stretches beyond the now to the very presence of God. Ravi Z.

God is the author of my life, He is the sustainer of my life. There will be breath as long as my purpose for earthly life is still to be lived. It brings peace to think that while death on earth brings fear and sadness, for the Christian, it is never the end. It is only a transition to something better.
