The Bible does not attempt to prove the existence of God. Does God exist? God declares that He does.
He feels no need to validate himself. He is confident that man cannot deny Him because so many externals (that which is extra-biblical) authenticate Him.
The burden is never on God to prove that He exists. Rather, the burden is on man to prove He doesn’t.
Hence, God in His Word, the Bible, plainly declares that only a fool would say that there is no God. Psalm 14:1.
Evidence of God in Nature and Creation
Nature confirms the existence of God.
Creation cannot deny this truth. (Psa. 19 :1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shews His handiwork.")
Rom. 1 :20 points out that creation clearly reveals God. We can understand the existence and nature of God through His very creation. As such, we are without excuse.
We know God is because we can’t see and experience nature and not realise it.
Even scientists who do not share a belief in God often marvel at the design and precision of the universe. The fine-tuning of the Earth’s position in the solar system, the complexity of DNA, and the laws of physics all point to an intelligent Designer. This is why many people searching for evidence of God often start by examining the natural world, because the fingerprints of the Creator are everywhere.
The existence of God is certain and clearly apparent that we can either acknowledge it or deny it.
Interestingly, whatever view we hold, God is no way increased or magnified by our belief. Neither is He diminished by our unbelief.
God Reveals Himself Through His Word and His Son
Yet God longs for us to seek and find Him, and know Him.
God has given us the written Word, a revelation of Himself and His very heart, preserved through the ages, so that we may become acquainted and related to Him. Isaiah 55:6.
More importantly, God has given us His only Son, the physical and human revelation of Himself and His very being.
God lowered Himself to our level of seeing and understanding, so that we may become reconciled and related to Him. John 3:16. John 14:6.
The life and teachings of Jesus Christ remain the clearest revelation of God’s love and desire for relationship with humanity. The fact that the Bible has been preserved, translated, and read by billions across centuries shows its timeless relevance and divine origin. It continues to be the most widely read book in history, transforming lives in every generation.
Human Life as Evidence That God Exists
We know we cannot exist nor remain to exist on our own. Someone is supporting our existence.
Deep within we all know that. The fact that people needed to create Atlas means deep inside each man is the understanding that a greater being is sustaining life.
Our moral compass also points to this truth. Every culture across history has had a sense of right and wrong, good and evil. This moral law, written in our hearts, points to a moral Lawgiver—God Himself. Conscience, love, and the longing for purpose are deep indicators that we are more than random accidents in a meaningless universe.
Even Atheists Can Discover God
The atheist who is unafraid of discovering God will find Him for God wants to be found.
He longs for you to know Him, not for His sake but for yours. God is agape love that He desires man’s ultimate good.
And no ultimate good can come if God is not in it. Why have good enough when you can have ultimate good?
Many former atheists, from scientists to philosophers, have shared stories of how their honest search for truth led them to God. When we sincerely ask, “Does God exist?” and remain open to the evidence around us, God has a way of making Himself known—through people, circumstances, and even the quiet convictions of the heart.
Daily Life Shows That God Exists
I know there is a God because this unnatural supernatural peace, assurance and guidance can’t come randomly. Someone is there all the time.
He answers my prayers. He answers the prayers I should have prayed.
When I sincerely seek for direction, He leads me. When I digress form the good path, at some point in my life, I am brought back.
When I suffer the heaviest blows, at some point, I am bounced back.
We know God is because our mind, spirit, heart, and conscience know the fact.
Rom. 2 :15, "Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another."
Countless testimonies of people experiencing miracles, divine guidance, or unexplainable peace in hardship further validate that God is active and personal. When life seems overwhelming but hope still rises within us, it is another quiet evidence that God is real and near.
Our Genetics and Design Bear God’s Signature
Our very DNA bears the stamp of God. Every bit of us is traced back to Him. We are created after God’s image, after His likeness. (Gen. 1:26, 27 "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.")
Our very nature will acknowledge Him, maybe not now, but ultimately in the end, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the existence and sovereignty of God. (Phil 2:10)
The complexity of the human body is staggering. From the way cells communicate to the intricate structure of the brain, the human design is far too advanced to be an accident. Many biologists and geneticists admit that the blueprint of life points to an intelligent source. This reality aligns perfectly with the biblical truth that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
A Desire to See and Experience God
We can engage in debates or listen through long discourses that delve into the topic of the existence of God. Or we can, in sincerity and objectivity, commune within the spirit in us, and ask God to simply help us see and experience Him in a way that clarifies the truth for us.
After all, if God doesn’t exist, you’d have absolutely nothing to lose. But if He does, you have everything to lose, in this life and in the next.
Faith in God does not mean blind belief; it is a response to evidence and experience. When we sincerely pray, read His Word, and open our hearts, we often find the clarity and assurance we seek. This personal encounter with God is the strongest proof of His existence—because once you have experienced Him, doubt loses its power.
Conclusion: The Answer to “Does God Exist?”
The evidence of God’s existence surrounds us—through nature, human life, our moral compass, and personal experiences. God is not far off or hidden; He desires to be known and longs for relationship with us.
For those who sincerely seek, the question “Does God exist?” will not remain unanswered. As Scripture promises, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
